Why Did She Go Greek?
Going Greek was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. After being in sports my whole life, I was looking for that team of sisterhood I had known. DPhiE has not only given me my closest friendships, but also invaluable leadership opportunities. It is so amazing to be surrounded by such strong women everyday who all share a passion for community and service. I never feel alone on campus and knowing a sister is always there for me means a lot. I love being a part of Greek life and am so excited to see what happens next!

Going When I first came to Seton Hall I had just transferred here after being at a completely different school for the first two years of my college career. Not only that, but I am a commuter as well. Being both a transfer and a commuter, I had struggled making friends and trying to find a place where I belong. I felt like I didn't belong and started looking into transferring out of Seton Hall. When hearing about recruitment I believed it would be the perfect place where I can make new friends and find a forever home during the process. Recruitment did exactly that, I found friends within my recruitment group who I later became sisters with. Going through recruitment was an experience that helped me step out of my shell and make amazing memories with girls I care for deeply.

I went Greek because I wanted to be apart of an organization that felt like a second home where I could continue to be myself. Throughout my time here in Alpha Phi I have gained so many different opportunities and became more involved in our campus. Going greek, I discovered my passion for service and leadership and met many amazing people along the way. I have found a sisterhood that will last a lifetime filled with strong, motivated, and genuine women. Even though going through recruitment can be a very nerve racking weekend, it was by far the best decision I have ever made!!
